Gary Cooper, In Cooper Services is a fourth generation painter, His father taught him to hang wallpaper in the early 90s, Gary and his younger brother James took those skills and worked for a General Contractor as sub contractors (Cooper Wallcovering) doing hotel renovations for mostly the Marriott brand. During the 14 years working on hotels, the Brothers took on contracts including  painting, pulling  down commercial wall covering, Skim coating walls, Drywall Installation, Drywall Finishing, Wall Texturing and re-installation of wall covering, there attention to detail and quality landed them jobs such as the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Atlanta(520 Rooms) and the J.W. Marriott in Orlando (740 rooms). Gary took on a position running the 15-20 man paint and wall covering crews required to keep up with the job schedules, and keeping up with the hotels high standards by working on the back end of the jobs by doing quality control (punch out). With design fads changing, wall covering started to get phased out to just bathrooms and corridors, and textured walls coming in, they took on texturing many thousands of rooms, and finishing them with paint. Hotel renovation budgets went up and the work scope would included the removal of popcorn ceilings, skim coating the ceilings perfectly smooth, spraying knockdown/orange peel textures on the walls and finishing out with Sherwin Williams Paints.

In 2013, Gary moved to the Sarasota Area with his fiance Farrah, and she encouraged him to start a painting business here. So he got into the residential repainting business first as a sub contractor, when he realized that the middleman (who were also franchisees) was taking the value away from the painting of the smaller residential projects usually taking 50% of the labor line in the estimates. Cooper services is a small family owned painting business that believes in quality and doing the job correctly while saving the home owner money by not having the heavy overhead cost and guaranteeing the end result. Gary has over 20 years experience painting, finishing drywall, spraying textures and really enjoys the transformation of painting home exteriors.

In the last 6 years, Gary and his small crew of guys have painted the interior/exterior of hundreds of homes in the Venice, Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton area. Cooper Services offers  very detailed estimates, offers services such as interior drywall removal, Drywall replacement, Drywall repairs, popcorn ceiling texture repair/removal, wallpaper removal, wall textures including knockdown and orange peel,  hand applied skip trowel finishes, and of course Interior /exterior painting. We believe in not cutting corners, keeping a clean work area, and leaving everything like we found it.
